I appreciate what you say about how online relationships can build-up a meaningfulness that can rival our day-to-day local relationships. I'm seeing that happening over my time on the Web, especially as I become more active, and let myself be out there. Your bravery is helping me realize that I have work to do... a photo avatar to start with, at the very least (I've delayed even that, after changing my appearance so much - my existing photos just aren't me anymore, so i need a fresh batch).
