Etsy Inspired By Where The Wild Things Are – Craft Blog

by Maya on October 13, 2009

Elaine made this cute little monster pendant from sterling silver, it was created for a Canadian exhibition featuring work inspired by the book, and displayed with a matching Max in a terrarium.

Moishe Hat

Munsters&Cupcakes features this awesome custom made Moishe hat, available in both child and adult sizes, great for Halloween but I think it’s cute enough that kids could get away with wearing this all year round.

Max Print

Nan Lawson created this hand inked and then digitally coloured print of the king of the wild things, Max, not looking quite so wild as he’s normally pictured! I love the sense of calmness in this print.

Wolf Tail

Carissa has created a wolf tail for any real life Maxes out there, there’s still time to order one before Halloween, all you need is some footsy PJs and the hat featured in yesterday’s post and you’re set to go!

Where The Wild Things Are Felts

I’ve saved my absolute favourite for last, I have fond memories of “quiet time” with various felt play sets, scenes featuring schools and hospitals, and as great as there were they were never as awesome as this one! This has massive scope for imaginative play for kids and for retelling their own version of Max’s trip to visit the wild things, check out the full felt kit here.

Aren’t these just adorable?!!
