Do you need a reason to get fit?

by Maya on February 4, 2009

Sickness has been the unwelcome guest at our abode this past week. And no matter what I do, she seems adamant and wants to stay. I never get sick, but just a few months after I decide to become an entrepreneur, I land into this!

I really cannot afford to get sick. Well, the truth is that I could not get afford to get sick even if I was not an entrepreneur, really. I have kids that depend on me. But with so much to do besides taking care of kids, I am starting to think I might have to make not-getting-sick a priority. Wanting to be an entrepreneur seems to be reason enough to get fit. So you heard it here first:

Want to be an entrepreneur? Get fit first . REALLY fit. BEFORE you get into this whole business of working for yourself.

And some more advice – Things to do before you get sick

1. Have health insurance figured out

2. Have a back-up plan

3. Take your vitamins

4. Make fitnessĀ  a priority

Once you get sick

1. Nap

2. If you suffer from the same syndrome that everyone else does, just go to work

3. Take some time off and tweet about it.

You will meet some magical people out there – who will care and share. Learn, read, relax and use your sickness as a reason to make a couple of real connections, have some good conversations. Like I did. Or write a haiku!

Okay, now I’ve had enough fun to last me the next 2 weeks – I should get back to work!

    Haha Ankur - LOL

I did read your comment - and this post was made in jest - i hope you saw the fun in here ;)

And btw, if I had the money to hire someone, believe me I would. I cannot justify delegating and hiring people when my startup is not producing any revenue...

I am sure I will have to hire out work (I am doing it right now) but this will be done slowly - over time and in a very controlled manner until we start seeing returns.

So what software tool did you download?

  • hey, i wish you had paid heed to my last comment here !! it contained two imp tips on how you can keep yourself fitter :Panyway.. hoping to see you back in action soon... PS : i downloaded a software tool that might help me in making the picture book..
